The trailer for Dhoop Ki Deewar, released on Flag Day , has become one among the highest trends on social media. The much-anticipated web series will premiere on ZEE5 on 25th June, 2021. It stars Sajal Ali and Ahad Raza within the lead, marking their first project together since their marriage.
In a special gesture, ZEE5 announced that the show are going to be available for free of charge on the platform which viewers won’t need to pay a subscription fee to observe it.
Archana Anand, Chief Business Officer, ZEE5 Global, said, “We’re thrilled to bring our latest Zindagi Original Dhoop Ki Deewar for free of charge to our viewers in Pakistan as a really special gesture.”
Shailja Kejriwal, Chief Content, Zee Entertainment also hopes the “free airing of Dhoop Ki Deewar in Pakistan” will have “the power to unite” through it message of “peace and harmony.”
The series, however, isn’t without its detractors. Calls to ban the show also surfaced on Twitter, while writer Umera Ahmad was criticised for disregarding the 2 Nation Theory. Responding to the allegations the author has said that the content didn’t feature anything “objectionable.”
